Ben Wasserburg

Paralegal and Investigator

Ben Wasserburg is the Paralegal and Investigator for the The Initiative for a Just Society. Wasserburg is a native New Yorker who graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. During his time at Columbia, he was deeply involved with the Justice-in-Education Initiative, tutoring college-level courses to incarcerated students on Rikers Island. Passionate about legal advocacy and prison reform, Ben also interned in several law offices, including the New York State Attorney General’s Office, where he mediated disputes between consumers and merchants in Harlem. Beyond his academic and legal work, he played for the Columbia Men’s Ice Hockey and is a classically trained pianist.
