Teaching Philosophy in Prisons and Jails

June 2019--Join Philosophy students and Justice-in-Education volunteers for a rountable discussion focusing on teaching philosophy in prisons and jails. Rountable participants will include Columbia Philosophy PhD students who have run Philosophy workshops in New York jails and prisons and will include an in-depth look at the work Kirstine Szifris, a criminologist who specializes in and practices teaching philosophy in prisons in the UK.
